Passing it On

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing;
That's how it is with God's Love,
Once you've experienced it,
Your spread His love to everyone
You want to pass it on. ~ Kurt Kaiser

All my life, I can remember my father tearing up every single time he heard this song. So, in turn, I grew to love this song and everytime I hear it, it has the same result. I suppose now, the baton is being passed once again.

A sweet, sweet friend of Emily's invited her attend a Kid's Club at a local church. Emily positively loved it and on her own began learning her verses and begged to go back. Of course, we said yes. We are so grateful to these special friends. On many levels they have mentored and embraced our family. Thank you so much, you know who you are:)

Last night while having a little bonfire in the backyard, Emily sang that song and proceeded to tell us why it is so important. She wants to be a spark, get the fire going. I absolutely love that about her. I can't wait to see what God does in her life and the lives she touches.

You won't believe this...yes, you will.

I LOVE the song "Pass It On"! So funny, I thought that song was forgotten...so glad it is special to you, too! (and your daddy) OK, we'll have to have our families sing it together.

How sweet that Em sang this around that camp fire! Em will be passing Him on throughout her sweet life!

Love you!
Sharon :)

Heather,

Emily has a heart of gold, just like her mama, and her mama's father...

So funny, I was just teaching this song to Mallory about two weeks ago. I remember singing that all of the time when I was in youth choir....a LONG time ago. LOL.
As always, your girls are so beautiful and photogenic. Mallory is enjoying wearing her owl pj's and I think of you all every time she wears them. She also sleeps with that owl pillow. :)
