Christmas Present

"I have no gift to bring, that's fit to give a King, shall I play for you?"

I listened to the words of this song the other day... I have heard them a thousand times, but that day I was struck by the value of this statement. Were He born today, I know that I have no gift even remotely close to what I would want to offer a Savior. None of us do.

And so each day, we strive to "play for Him", living His word and seeking to do good in all the ways that we can. I pray I am playing a good song, melodic and worthy, joyful and full of promise. I pray the same for my family and I pray the same for you.

From our home to yours...Blessings for a very Merry Christmas.

"But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David, a savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11
