Things to Think About

"It is our part to seek, His to grant what we ask; our part to make a beginning, His to bring it to completion; our part to offer what we can, His to finish what we cannot." ~ Saint Jerome

Please keep this family in your prayers. Susannah has a long road ahead of her, but we can be encouraged, inspired and blessed by the steadfast faith of her parents and family. Susannah has two very special older brothers, who want their sister home with them. We continue to pray for this family of five and for their bonding to one another. For any of us who have adopted internationally, we know well the challenge of attachment in the best of circumstances. Leslie, Charlie and their boys have an added dimension of complexity in Susannah's current health needs. Susannah, you are so loved and so is your family. We will continue to pray...

I have posted about Jeremy many times. My heart is heavy with the update that Jeremy has gone home to Jesus this week. That red thread...well, it lives and breathes in our family. Jeremy is extended family...my mother's cousin's son. However, life has brought our hearts together many times. Jeremy was a son, a brother, a husband, a father...he was an educator, a coach, a bright shiny spot on this earth. Jeremy died at 31 years of age. As much as we all know we have a day, a day when God calls us home, it is never the right time to lose someone we love. Please pray for Jeremy's wife, Kim. Please pray for his babies, Jeremy, 2 and Jax, 6 mos. Pray for his parents, Carolyn and Joe and for his amazing brother, Jon and his family. Jeremy, now you will feel no pain, your peace will be His peace.

Finally, Rob and I went last evening to see this movie...

All I can say is GO! Go to the theaters, get this message. I am blessed with a good marriage. Is there room for improvement? Sure, always. This makes me think about all the ways I can be a better wife, partner. Never leave your partner behind, especially in a fire. Makes you think, huh?

Hello, Dear Friend.

Will keep Susannah's family and Jeremy's family in prayer. I can feel the compassion and love in your heart.

We were blessed to have quintupled dated with you last evening to see "Fireproof". Wow! I am praying the theatre is just as full this evening!

Enjoy this quiet, rainy day!

Love you,
Sharon

Heather,

I have been following Susannah's story closely and have been praying so hard for this family. There is a long way to go, but God has moved mountains for this family already.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Jeremy. I will keep his family in my prayers in the days to come. He was so young.

Hugs-

Hey Heather~

I'd been wondering about you all week and now I think I know why we hadn't been in touch. I am sorry about Jeremy and the huge loss to your family. It is losses like this that just are so hard to understand...I know you will minister to them like no one else.

I love you,

Oh Heather...there are so many prayers to lift up in this post. We are praying for Susannah and her family. God has moved huge mountains already and moved another I read today by Susannah having a little fun and bonding time with her Mommy. Made me smile at His goodness.

I am truly sorry about Jeremy and we will add them to our prayers as well. Praying God strengthens Kim so that she will be strong for her babies and know that He is always by her side.

Lastly....the movie! I can't WAIT to see it and yes I have been blessed with a wonderful marriage of 26 years and pray this movie hits families hard with the Truth!

I'm so sorry to hear about Jeremy. As for Susannah, I've been praying and following her story.

We haven't seen "Fireproof" yet, but I have to get a little plug in here. A good friend of ours in SW GA (who is also a China adoptive dad) worked on the crew for the movie. I think he was an assistant producer--he's on the media team at Sherwood and is a former firefighter (now in the medical field), so he was able to give a lot of technical input on that aspect of things.

Oh, Heather, I am so sorry to hear about Jeremy. I will lift his family up in prayer, along with my prayers for Susannah.

Nolan and I tried to get a babysitter this weekend to go see Fireproof. It's only showing in one theatre here and we can't wait to see it, but could not get a sitter. We loved Facing the Giants and Flywheel. I am sure we will just love this movie, too.

Hugs to you,
Michelle

Praying for those who have lost - who grieve, who don't have the answers to WHY that they are no doubt asking.....

OH Heather,
I'll be lifting Jeremy's family..(all of you) in prayer as you move through the days ahead. It is a blessing to KNOW that he is finally at peace now...but oh so hard to not have him here with his family. I pray for God's peace for all of you!
Also for little Susannah's family...that she will be healed and back at home with her forever family soon! They are such an amazing family....God has such a plan for them all...I cannot wait to see how HE orchestrates their lives!
Sending loving hugs your way, sweet friend!
Denise

Our church joined with other churches in the area and bought out the theater today for 3 showings. I did not get the tickets, but I did see the preview and am sure that Brian and I will go see it. I am so amazed thast God's glory is shining through on these movies that are made with very little money and yet they produce an amazing film. May God get all the glory and may Hollywood see that good movies do bring in viewers and do not have to have all the big bucks to produce a film worth watching!!

Praying for Jeremy's family and little Susannah's too(I've been following their blog daily). May God hold both of these family's in the sweet palm of His hand and give them strength and peace during these days.

We haven't seen Fireproof yet but I can't wait! I have seen their first two movies and was so moved by each one and I know this one will be the same way. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Oh Heather,

I am so sorry to hear about Jeremy. Please know that many, many prayers are lifting his family through this time. My heart breaks for his wife and children especially.

My thoughts and prayers are with Susannah and her family today too. Today she will have her surgery and I just know that God will be glorified in that operating room today! This family has touched so many and shown such faith and grace under the most difficult of circumstances.

Glad you had a nice date night with hubby. Thanks for the tip on the movie, I will have to check it out.

Hugs to you my friend!

Love,
Sheryl

Hi Heather, my heart is breaking for Kim and her family, please know that I am sending them a giant hug and a prayer.

And also my husband and some friends of our from our Sunday school class went to see Fireproof. We are also doing the Fireproof your marriage bible study. But like you , I too have a good marriage but let me tell you that movie makes you sit and totally analyze yourself and your marriage. Everything has room for improvement and I sure saw my flaws. Great movie!!! I encourage everyone to see it.

Love and blessings, Kristy

Hi Friend!
I am so sorry about Jeremy. From living this with Michelle, I know how you are feeling. God calls us to be Mat Bearers sometimes. I know you are blessing his wife and family... There are no words sometimes... But, you know God hears our tears too...

Now, you have given me motivation to go to a movie with Jeff.... We need a date terribly!

Blessings Heather!
