7 Things...

I was tagged by several blogger friends to share seven things about me. I am not the most interesting banana in the bunch, but here are a few...

1. When I was a senior in college, I participated in Disney's College Program and had a four month internship in Walt Disney World. I finished up that internship as a roller skating waitress at the Sci-Fi in MGM. They offered me a full time job and to finish my classwork in Florida... I was ready to go home, so I declined and put my roller skates away for good!

2. I have freckles, lots and lots of freckles. It used to be, in the school district where I attended elementary school, mandatory swim class occurred in the fourth grade. As I was sitting in my pea-green-district-approved-way-too-big-had-to-be-shoe-laced-in-the-back-awesomely-humiliating suit (I still have anger issues over not being permitted to wear my own swimsuit, can you tell?) a little girl next to me kept inching further and further away. Once she was a safe distance, she advised me she DID NOT want whatever I HAD, those spots were awful. I am still sensitive about my spots:)

3. I want to write a book, truly I do. It is on the list of things I will do before I leave this world.

4. If I could have one real talent that I was not blessed with, I would be a rock star - I know good ol' conservative me. Not so much a rock star, but pump a rockin' voice. In my little world, some days I am a rock star!

5. My Chrohn's Disease has been in remission since I had Emily. The doctor told me the pregnancy would either cure me or kill me. My sweet daughter saved my life on so many levels.

6. Our good friends won't travel with us since 2003, when I developed a kidney infection from a stone, got horribly ill on a plane ride from Puerto Rico to home, had to have the plane landed early, was ambulanced off the tarmac and then taken to the worst hospital in the history of man. Come to think of it, Rob won't travel far with me anymore either. It was quite a scene! Someday maybe I will post the story in it's entirety...we do laugh about it now.

7. I believe the Lord blessed me with a servant's heart. I love serving others. I worked in a senior center for many, many years. I tried corporate life for about five years and it didn't suit my character...I needed a servant's job and have remained in that vein ever since.

I think you're a very interesting banana! I don't think I'd want to travel very far with you either, though. Sounds like you've had some big scares in life...

I love hearing about what makes you who you are. You are very interesting! That is awful about the kidney stone! So glad you can laugh about it now! I love how you said Em saved your life. OK, I have always loved freckles, I don't have any but my cousin did and I was always jealous! I think they make people look "fresh" and youthful! You are beautiful just as you are! How fun to work at Disney, we love it there!

How fun to learn more about you! There's no way you aren't interesting! You have so many wonderful gifts that God has given you. I think you're going to be singing in a very special choir in heaven. :) What fun that you worked at the Sci-Fi -- my kids loved that restaurant. Finally, I'm so glad that your Chrohn's Disease is in remission.

I remember you telling me the kidney stone story, and yes, it was quite a story.

Love that you worked at Disney. How cool is that. I'm with Lisa. How can you say you're not interesting??

I always wished I could sing. I have a horrible voice.

When you write a book, I can have a signed copy, right?

So I was just randomly found your profile while looking for posts about the Disney College Program and was amazed as what we have in common. I too have freckles everywhere, but never had someone say they were afraid of them ;). I also participated in the college program my sophomore year of college, and probably the big one is that I also have crohn's disease.
